Day 4-it'll have to be a tree stump

Day 4-it'll have to be a tree stump

Yesterday a tree cutting crew showed up at my mom's house to cut down her Ash tree. It had Ash Bore (which I believe is a beetle) but perhaps I should google that before I embarrass myself. It was really cool watching the tree cutting team working, I always imagine it is a great job for all those kids who are always climbing trees.

So then later I asked my mom how I could use the pictures I took of the tree removal and turn it into a blog post and photo prompt. And in the true fashion that only a 93 year old can come up with she said, "Well I suppose it should be something about to achieve a good end you need to be fierce on the way"

Yup that's my mom. Fierce on the way.

Until tomorrow-have an outdoorsy day.

My intention is important, as it affects many other choices: type of shoes, clothing, walking poles, water, binoculars, camera etc.

After stopping for the dogs to poop and stopping to change Jett’s diaper (twice) we were off!! We walked through a sunny meadow, climbed up the frozen cascades and returned via a side trail that skirted the riverbank. Bliss.
